Christmas Morning

Kaylee giving kisses to her new baby dollie "Abby". She got lots of fun things to help her take care of her new baby and she has been a good mommy feeding and changing her and taking her for stroller rides.

Rachel tries to hold up her loot! She did get her I-pod but Santa ran out of phones before he got to our house. Her Grandma told her it was probably because he had to give them to the bigger girls first. She was still happy. We had fun dueting with the Karaoke machine all-day.

Chapin made out with a Star Wars loot and was ecstatic about it. Santa surprised him with a Didj and the Star Wars game. He has been with the force ever since!
The kids were up at 6:30 ready to open presents and digging into their stockings. It was a lot of fun to see them excited. Kaylee was super excited about all the candy. Byron got some goods to add to the theatre room (exciting) and work and play clothes (not so exciting for him) and Krista got some clothes (exciting), new tires (not so exciting) and Twilight (which I read that day).

Nutcracker Ballet

This was the third year that Rachel has performed with the Idaho Ballet Theatre in the Nutcracker. She was a soldier and licorice. They perform alongside the Utah Regional Ballet. We were so proud of Rachel. She looked like she belonged right with the professional dancers. She really is a natural dancer. We weren't able to take pictures of the performance but when the team and individual still shots come in we will have to scan them in. For the past three years her family, grandmas, and great-grandmas have come to enjoy her dance. It's been fun. Chapin likes to give her flowers after the performance.

Gingerbread House

Our annual Gingerbread House. It turned out really cute. Rachel was the general contractor. She had the cute ideas for the door, wreath, and star. Chapin supervised all the materials (sampled all the candy) and Kaylee posed for the pictures with her kissy lips and cheesey grins. She has her normal wild hair doo. She likes me to do her hair then she likes to pull it out.

O' Christmas Tree

The funny story about our tree is that last year Janell called and asked if we could use a 12 foot tree. Good Samaritan (where she works) had an extra one donated to them and asked her if she knew anyone who could use it so she volunteered us. The maintenance man dropped it off without telling her so she came home one day to a large tree in her driveway. Thanks Janell for the tree. We love it.
We had to pull out the ladder to decorate it. Rachel decided that she wasn't afraid of heights after all. She had fun putting the star on with her dad. Kaylee thought that the ladder looked like fun so I was busy keeping from trying to climb up it. Chapin was content on the couch.

Our Visit to Santa

The kids were very anxious to see Santa this year. Rachel told him that she wanted an I Pod and her own phone (she is growing up on us). Chapin told him that he wanted Star War ships. Kaylee got excited to see him but as she walked up to him she turned her face to the side so they wouldn't make eye contact. It was really funny. Last year was precious. She reached up and patted his beard and then laid her cheek into it. We are excited for Santa to come to our house!

Relief Society Cards

I've been busy making oodles of these cards as my Relief Society assignment. They are for all the birthdays next year. I decided to take a few shots of them and them as my first blogger posts. Also I was shocked at my creativity. I admit a couple of styles were copied from my friend Andrea (she makes really cute cards and taught me how) but I started to run out of supplies and had to come up with the other two styles on my own. Definitely shocked they turned out. They did take a lot of time which has kept me from getting my own Christmas Cards out and posting blogs, so I apologize. Hope Everyone is having a wonderful holiday season and we enjoy seeing your families on your blogs!
